Season the tops (meat side) with the pepper. Let rest 10 minutes before grilling. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan whisk together the butter, garlic, brown sugar and avocado oil. Cook over medium heat, until it begins to warm, stirring occasionally. -Stir in the soy sauce, smoked paprika and lemon juice. Continue cooking until it reaches a low bowl, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. -Be sure you have a hot, clean and well-oiled grill. Place the salmon, meat side down, on the grill. Shut the lid and grill for about 2 to 2 \u00bd minutes (for under an inch-thick filet) or until the skin just begins to turn white around the edges. To add some flavor to my grilled Mahi Mahi fish, I use a marinade that consists of: 1\/4 cup Fresh Lime Juice 2 TBS Oil (Olive, Vegetable, or Canola will work) 1 TBS Honey 1\/4 tea cayenne pepper pinch of salt Whisk these ingredients together in a bowl. Place the Mahi Mahi fish in a zip lock bag and pour the marinade over it and place the bag in the refrigerator for 45min to 1 hour. After 45 minutes remove the Mahi Mahi fish from the refrigerator and dust each side of the Mahi Mahi with the Blackened seasoning which consists of: 1 tablespoon sweet paprika 1 tablespoon sugar 2 teaspoons seasoned salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1\/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper 2 teaspoons lemon pepper 1\/4 teaspoon thyme 1\/4 teaspoon oregano 1\/4 teaspoon basil 1\/4 teaspoon cumin The cook time for Mahi Mahi is fast. And the trick to grilling perfect fish is to have a well-greased cooking surface. Place the Mahi Mahi fish on the grate and set a timer for 1 \u00bd minutes, twist the fish a quarter turn. Time it for another 1 \u00bd minutes then give it a gentle turn to the opposite side. Set the timer for 1 \u00bd minutes once again. That&#039;s when you glaze the grilled fish Mahi Mahi with a Honey Lime Glaze: 2 TBS Lime Juice 2 TBS Olive Oil 1 TBS Rice Wine Vinegar 1 TBS Honey Salt and Pepper Add the lime juice, vinegar, and honey to a bowl. While whisking slowly add the olive oil. Throw in a pinch of salt and pepper to balance the flavor. After three more minutes the Mahi is ready to come off the grill and enjoy your grilled Mahi Mahi fish tacos.
